The Freshmen’s WAXED is back!

After a long summer, which included the fabulous WAXEDvsMOOCLUB closing party at Marktrock, The Freshmen are back for a season of swing and tap dance!

We proudly present...

The Freshmen’s WAXED --- Thursday 29 OCTOBRE ’09 --- Rumba&Co

Our first guests of the season are the amazing SOUL MIGRANTZ! TiNo, resident dj at Sunnyside Up (Silo), has played all big parties all over the country and is still hot as hell in houseland! Raffa is the driving force and producer behind Sweet Coffee! Together, these cats Belgians fastest rising housemusic producers, with dancefloor fillers such as ‘Calling Chicago’, ‘Socialize’ and the recent remix for mr. Bob Sinclar’s ‘Lala Song’. They come to show you their tricks on the decks: clubbing with a feeling!

Supporting them are the new talents King & Cousin! These boys caught the eye of Belgiums club scene this year, with gigs at 10daysOff, Laundry Day, Café Capital and many others around the country! Trust us: they will only get bigger, so you’ll better get to know them fast, at WAXED!

The Freshmen have put serious energy in their semi-Live Performance for the upcoming season, in which they’ll be blasting beats at Bauhouse the 8th and be warming up Het Depot for Parov Stelar the 10th of Octobre! Expect an extensive setting at WAXED, with Live Drums and Sampling and who knows even more?

So come down at Rumba&Co for some swinging and jacking sounds, clubbing in style! And don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes...

After some vacation and holidays, we're ready for some magic again!

Following last years amazing M'Rock Closing Down party @ Rumba, The Freshmen got the opportunity to cooperate on this years edition. Our partners for the evening are the well known and highly respected MOODCLUB-boys! These cats from Leuven are known for their ability to throw BIG parties. They also keep the music alive on their digi-label Moodclub Music!

We're looking forward to the night, come join us and feel the magic!

It was great...

Thanks to all who came to shake their asses off! Geht's Noch? rocked tha house, Lee blasted us all into a further galaxy... The Freshmen were very happy and satisfied when we closed down at 7:30 a.m.!

It was great , mom'!

Korte review op www.studentenleuven.be: "Vannacht werd er een klein stukje geschiedenis geschreven. Het eerste optreden van Parov Stelar ooit in België werd bestormt door fans vanuit alle hoeken van ons landje. Heel de Rumba ging totaal uit zen dak en de live saxofoon-artiest nog het meest van al."

WAXED 4 was lovely...

Dear WAXED-lovers all around the globe,

The Freshmen enjoyed WAXED 4 "The Dirdy Birdy Edition" as never before!!! It was def' one of the best editions, in grave competition with the Marktrock Edition for the number-one spot...

Our residents Nauser & Moulinex opened up nicely, the Rumba was already filled up at about 12 'o clock! With funky beats and jazzy tunes, it was somehow an atmosphere we don't see very often anymore since parties such as moodclub left the building. All houselovers could dance their shoes off, and so they did!

Fredo and Thang arived with some delay but were ready to rock the place at 2 'o clock! Their set included the best techy and electro-tracks and was fresh & steaming! It was well appreciated and they managed to build up to a great climax and ending up with the suprising 'Thunderstruck' by AC/DC! Thanks, guys, for a great guest-performance!

KLEIN was at his best this evening and went down down down, taking the crowd to deeper undergrounds! He played a new-style electro-set and proved himself once again! Everybody partied on with him and so the evening was destined to become a very... very late one!
Nauser & KLEIN tag-teamed the night away, straight into the morning! Spinning records suck as 'Lucky Star' by Superfunk ft. Ron Carrol or 'Sound of Violence' (the Tiefschwarz Violently Happy remix) by Cassius, they amused theirselves, each other and the crowd till the sun was up!

Coffee never tasted as good, feet were never as tired...

We like to thank everybody who came down!
